A new "Push to Talk" or PTT function has been added to the app
This means that next time you either signal an overdose SOS, or respond to a request for help, you will see a little MICROPHONE icon on your app screen.
Pushing the MIC icon will let you talk with the other UnityPhilly responders or the person requesting help.
In Responder mode, once you have agreed to respond, tap the microphone icon once to reach the PTT interface.
In SOS mode, the microphone button appears on the main SOS screen.
When using PTT you need to hold the MIC button down (keep pressed) while you are talking, and then release it to hear what others have to say.
You should say "OVER" when you've finished talking and release the button so others will know that they can talk.
To use this new great function, you need to have the latest version of UnityPhilly installed, so please go to the appstore to do that - or better yet, set your phone for automatic updates!
We hope that using PTT to talk during an emergency will help you find each other faster, and also make it easier to cancel in case of a false alarm.
